COURSE DESCRIPTION: Do you feel that many departments in your
company operate with sort of a “low-grade fever”? They
function, but they have too much turnover, employees complain a
lot, deadlines get missed, communication is spotty … you get
the picture. The reason, in many cases, is an underperforming
supervisor. This problem is chronic, and
it’s easy to see why. People with solid management skills are
EXTREMELY hard to find. What’s worse, many companies promote
people with promise, then set them loose with little or no
training. This “sink or swim” approach almost always fails. A supervisory role is complex.
First, you have to deal with people problems – bad attitudes,
absenteeism, poor productivity, peer-to-peer conflict and a host
of other issues. Second, you have to function effectively as
part of a management team, where you’re directly accountable
for delivering results through other people. This training program is
designed to give supervisors a toolbox to help them cope with
the huge responsibilities of their oversight role. It will give
them tools they’ll be able to implement immediately after
completing the session. At the end of this conference,
participants will understand…
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? New & experienced supervisors, HR and other
management. |
