Sponsored by Lorman Education Services
Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Time: 1:00 pm ET (12:00 pm CT, 11:00 am MT, 10:00 am PT)

Length: 1 hour 30 minutes

Registration: $199.00

Registration - Teleconference plus CD: $268.00

BENEFITS

Religious expression has increased significantly in the workplace. At the same time religious speech is increasing, an emphasis on diversity in the workplace has expanded. The emphasis has shifted from recruiting efforts designed to ensure equal opportunity to efforts focused on policy making and marketing tools which emphasize that the views and practices of employees are supported and respected by others.

This live audio conference is critical for you to ensure that you balance these competing demands with respect to issues of religious accommodation and religious discrimination in the workplace. You will gain practical guidance on how to assure their diversity programs and religious policies comply with the current federal and state anti-discrimination laws.

You will learn how to balance employees' right to self-expression with the legitimate goals of controlling attendance, solicitation and distribution at work. You will also learn how to address unwanted proselytizing and still avoid charges of religious discrimination. This program is helpful for implementing preventative measures to avoid costly claims and litigation.
