Description

In this 90-minute webinar, immigration attorney Bruce Buchanan, co-author of the newly released I-9 and E-Verify Handbook,  and immigration compliance blogger on Twitter at @buchananvisalaw, will look back at 2018, an incredible year for attacks on employers related to immigration compliance matters. Did you know Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) can raid your business? If they do, management may be headed to prison. If not a raid, then your chances of being a target of an ICE audit of your I-9 forms went up over 400%. In just one week in 2018, ICE delivered over 2,700 notices of I-9 audits. And these audits are of businesses, small, medium, and large. When ICE fines you, the fines will be over double the size from a few years ago.

Is your company next? Don’t take a chance. Find out at the webinar what you need to do to protect yourself.

Mr. Buchanan will teach employers what to do now before an ICE raid or ICE inspection – require all employees to complete an I-9 form with proof of work-authorized status, conduct an internal I-9 audit, how to correct errors on I-9 forms, and draft and follow an effective Immigration Compliance Policy for your organization. Finally, Mr. Buchanan will discuss what happens in an ICE raid and/or ICE audit and how an employer should respond.
