Identity Theft: Data Security

Personal information received and maintained by employers can be stolen or inadvertently disclosed. In response to the growing problem of identity theft, virtually all states have enacted legislation to protect personal information.

Employers must understand their legal obligations under these laws and related federal laws and be proactive in protecting personal information. This live audio conference explains what employers need to do to comply with various data privacy laws and explains how implementing best practices will decrease the chances of identity theft and potential legal liability.
