COURSE DESCRIPTION: It’s uncomfortable to admit it, but we all have biases, at least to some extent. Our brains are programmed to use past experience to help us make decisions. 

Unfortunately, that fact creates a tremendous challenge for managers and supervisors who MUST make bias-free decisions every day on the job. Acting on biases - even those they're unaware of - can lead to costly and time-consuming workplace discrimination legal trouble. Assuming, for example, that an older worker won’t be able to learn the new computer system or that a pregnant worker shouldn’t be promoted is a recipe for disaster.

The question is, what can the leaders in your organization do to prevent discriminatory behavior related to age, gender, race, religion and more? How do you prevent biases that are “unconscious”?
