During this two day course you will master the basics elements
of U.S. export controls and policies required to mitigate
liability due to inadvertent U.S. export violations. You will
learn how to interpret the export regulations and elements of an
export control, how to file the Electronic Export Information
(EEI) and create a bulletproof Export Management & Compliance
Program. In addition, you will understand the requirements to
file international and domestic cargo claims for loss and damage
against service providers in order to obtain timely recoveries
for your company. Attendees will have opportunity to engage in
practical exercises and receive complimentary training material.

Instructor Profile |
|
Jo-Anne Daniels,
is the President of Trade Resources & Associates, a consulting
firm providing global trade compliance services to multinational
companies on customs compliance and export control issues. Ms.
Daniels advises clients on customs and export classification and
licensing, Customs Rulings and Department of Commerce formal
classification requests. She has over 20 years experience in
global trade and performs import and export assessments,
develops and implements effective internal control programs and
support Customs audits, Customs improvement plan, prepares
Voluntary self disclosures and Customs Prior Disclosures.
Johanne M. Dictor has
over 15 years of experience in the cargo industry. Johanne's
experience ranges from domestic to international and includes
air, ocean, and surface transportation matters for cargo
airlines, insurance companies, freight forwarders and shippers.
Johanne has worked with airlines and freight forwarders to
develop their Risk Management Claims offices and to establish
appropriate policies, procedures and standards for their cargo
claims departments and implementation of cargo claim
computerized technology. Johanne has also provided education and
training in the area of cargo subrogation recoveries on claims
with insurance companies and major cargo airlines.
